Make Your Own Seed Ball Kit
A fun, messy and brilliant activity for all ages!
Each kit contains three plastic free pouches of materials, which, when mixed together with water will create enough mixture to make approximately 40-60 balls.
The mixes included are:
1. Bee & Butterfly Friendly Wildflower seeds (see mix details below)
2. Clay powder
3. Peat-free compost
All you need is a mixing bowl, water and a tray to dry the balls on. An instruction sheet giving full details of how to make the balls is included.

Making seed balls can take from approximately 20 minutes to an hour. Each pouch of seed contains a mix of bee and butterfly friendly wildflowers that tend to be the quickest to grow and flower, including Poppy, Common Toadflax, Cornflower, Cowslip, Meadow Cranesbill, Musk Mallow, Oxeye Daisy and Red Campion :
Common Poppy (Papaver rhoeas)
A bright red flowering annual - hugely popular and often used as a symbol of remembrance.

Description: A tall perennial with large rose pink petals.

Perennial.
Height: 30-90cm

Red Campion (Silene dioica)
A perennial with rose pink petals.
Height: 20-60cm

Create using seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder
Instructions for Use:
Once rolled, the seed balls are best scattered in the Autumn, followed by Spring (but as a rule of thumb anytime except winter is fine). Simply scatter on top of soil or compost and nature will do the rest! One box will cover 1-2 pots. Use 6 boxes per square metre in a garden.
